What inspired you to do the Brewlab course?

Ever since I had my first beer, I was fascinated by the science of brewing. This passion compelled me to home brew a few batches of beer. I further wanted to explore the depths of beer making and convert from a home brewer to a professional. It led me to find courses out of my country and the coursework at brewlabs was the most interesting of all. This inspired me to do a course at Brewlab.

What areas of the Brewlab course were most beneficial to you?

The coursework was beneficial and the teaching of the technicalities especially the microbiology part, identification of the different characteristics of every beer type and lastly, putting your knowledge at test via the practically brewing helped me to understand the process. In addition to this, the field trips and placements in the microbreweries also contributed to my knowledge of beer making.

How beneficial did you find the practical side of the Brewlab course?

It was very knowledgeable and beneficial. There was a considerable improvement in my quality of brews after the practicals. The practical brewing etched my freshly acquired knowledge forever in me.

Was there a part of the course you particularly liked/enjoyed?

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the coursework. Everything fascinated me and helped me.

Where do you work now?

I have my own brewpub in Pune, India.

What is your position?

Managing Director.

If you decided you set up yourself, how is it going?

The brewpub is going really well and the crafted are being relished and appreciated by our patrons thoroughly.

How much beer do you produce?

16,000 litres/month.

Do you have a recipe you are most proud of?

A beer called wheorander which is a wheat beer with flavourful indian spices.

What plans do you have for the future?

Expansion of our brand throughout our country and soon we will be coming up with our second outlet in Mumbai, India.
